there goes no. 11 on my list.
one person in my school e-group says that alda's already closed down.
call me silly, but i'm near tears. i LOVE that place; it has witnessed me laugh, weep, celebrate, stress about school and life and, the last couple of months before graduation, my impending departure - all while i was busy finishing plates of angel hair pasta with chicken and pesto.
i know it's not the end of the world, but changes like this add to my fear that home (well, one part of it at least) would no longer feel like home when i come back.
next thing you know, you'll tell me that bon vivant stopped serving seafood rice in those cute take-out boxes, or that SR Thai and sugarhouse closed down, or that they got rid of those street vendors hawking bananacue in front of DOJ and the ones selling isaw and other grilled meat of unknown origin across tapa king in pedro gil, or that they decided maroon would be a better color for bluebooks, or that conan, lovely fire-breathing dragon that she is, is not shushing and making students cry in the library anymore.
something tells me i have to go home soon before everything on my itinerary needs to be replaced.
